Cocktail Recipes - Three Spirit Forward Cocktails

What are you drinking tonight?  It's a question that we ask all of our readers and we want to inspire them to try new exciting drinks.  Whether you like Martinis, classic drink or like to sip on a fine scotch whiskey, we want to bring you new ideas.  So I thought we should write about couple of strong spirit forward cocktails.

The Symphony

It's a simple drink created by Tim Cooper.  It's a mixture of Brandy, mescal and sherry but it's very strong and complex.  Click here to see the recipe

Head of Steam

This is an Irish whiskey based drink with vermouth and sherry.  There are few different ways to make Head of Steam but this particular recipe is by Pamela Witznitzel.  Check out the recipe at http://www.cocktailpros.com/head-steam

Sazerac

Now this is a very popular rye whiskey drink that was originally made by Cognac.  The rye version was made in a coffee house in New Orleans.  Check out the recipe at http://www.cocktailpros.com/sazerac
